Occupation: Eye-Care
Marital Status: Married
What I've been up to since high school:
Since graduation, I have had the opportunity to work in several areas of optometry and ophthalmology. I love my job the most when I am able to help patients with limited vision find ways to navigate through the world and obtain their goals. Currently I work for the eye-care department at Kaiser Permanente, splitting my time between clinical patient care and clinic administration.
My life changed drastically about two years ago when my husband suddenly became very seriously ill. Since then we have put all of our resources and positive energy toward his care. After countless sleepless nights, millions of prayers, and one ground-breaking surgery - earlier this year we were finally granted the miracle we had asked for. He is now doing incredibly well with minimal chance of future problems, and we could not be more grateful. Since that experience we absolutely see our world with new eyes, appreciating every day as a very special gift.
We are now making up for lost time, enjoying as much free-time as we can find together, working on our "nostalgic" home in Northwest Denver, and looking optimistically toward the future.
